Terms of Service

Welcome to Event Planner by Ruchika Events. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our AI-powered event and wedding planning platform. Please read them carefully before creating an account or using any features.

By accessing Event Planner, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

1. The Service

Event Planner is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform providing AI-assisted planning tools for weddings, receptions, and other celebrations. Features include but are not limited to: event timeline management, budget tracking, vendor marketplace browsing, guest list and RSVP management, AI concierge (Saathi), and wedding website builder.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the platform at any time with reasonable notice.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
You must provide accurate and current information when creating your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must immediately notify us at hello@ruchikaevents.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms

3. Subscription Plans and Payments

Event Planner is available on four plans: Free, Starter (₹999/mo), Pro (₹4,999/mo), and Elite (₹9,999/mo). Canadian pricing is displayed in CAD equivalents.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance on the date you subscribe
All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (GST/HST as applicable)
You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features until payment is resolved

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform
Use the AI concierge (Saathi) to generate misleading, defamatory, or illegal content
Resell or sublicense access to the platform without our express written consent
Impersonate any person or entity, including Ruchika Events staff

5. Vendor Marketplace

Event Planner provides a marketplace to discover and connect with third-party event vendors. Ruchika Events does not employ, endorse, or guarantee the work of any vendor listed. Contracts and payments between you and vendors are independent arrangements. We are not liable for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from vendor relationships initiated through our platform.

Vendors listed on our marketplace have agreed to our Vendor Terms and verified their business credentials. However, we recommend conducting your own due diligence before booking.

6. AI Concierge (Saathi)

Saathi is an AI-powered planning assistant. While Saathi strives to provide accurate, helpful, and culturally appropriate guidance, its suggestions are informational only and should not be treated as professional legal, financial, or contractual advice. Ruchika Events is not liable for decisions made based on Saathi's recommendations.

7. Guest Data and WhatsApp RSVP

When you use our guest management or WhatsApp RSVP features, you represent that you have obtained appropriate consent from your guests to collect and process their personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. You are the data controller for your guest data; we process it as your data processor.

8. Intellectual Property

All platform content, trademarks, software, and technology are owned by Ruchika Events and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Event Planner for your personal event planning purposes.

Content you create on the platform (wedding details, photos, guest information) remains your property. You grant Ruchika Events a limited licence to process that content to provide the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ruchika Events shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total cumulative liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content (including from Saathi) will always be accurate or complete.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India for users based in India, and the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada for users based in North America, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of Mumbai, India or Toronto, Ontario, Canada respectively.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases. You may export your data within 30 days of termination before it is deleted from our systems.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
